In
the fall of 2003, a group of investors
and educators embarked on a mission
to create a new standard for delivering
“Excellence in Education”
to children.
They retained
an architectural firm (DB3 Architects)
and designer (Sweet Dreams Children’s
Interiors) who embraced their vision
and proceeded to create the new
standard. The resulting facility
would incorporate unique artistic
ambiences and interiors, exceptional
nutritional programs, theatrical
and physical development programs,
cultural and linguistic instruction
and more … all in a facility
specifically designed for the pre-school
and nursery age students.
To accessorize
the workspace in this learning environment,
the owners selected Modular Millwork
with special “bactericidal
surfacing” to meet the multifaceted
needs of the various age and function
specific rooms; and to proactively
safeguard the students’ health
in this typically germ-laden environment.
All Modular Millwork and floors
in the childcare/learning areas
would receive the special surfacing
… in a uniquely creative palette
of shapes and colors!
The result
is an extremely effective educational
interior that offers excellence
in early childhood education and
a stimulating, functional and healthy
interior in which the staff can
deliver their new standard of excellence
in education!
